USTPA MEMBER INPUT NEEDED!!!
Phone Survey to be conducted by the Transwest Business Development Group
Mr. George Eidsness, USTPA Treasurer, has volunteered the services of his call center, Transwest Business Development Group to conduct a phone survey of the USTPA membership. The Board of Directors has devised the following questions for the survey.
- Do you prefer to sort one or both ways?
- Should the USTPA have caps on classes?
- Do you like an incentive within classes?
- How can we be a better Association? (In 10 words or less)
This is your chance to be heard – don’t miss out on this opportunity! If you have any questions, please contact you Board of Directors and get clarification. Be prepared when your phone rings The week of the 18th of August!

FLEET DISCOUNT FOR USTPA MEMBERS
The United States Team Penning Association and Valero Fleet Services have joined together to offer discount fuel purchasing to the members of USTPA with rebates back to the Association. Each member will receive a 2.5 cent discount per gallon and the Association will receive a 1/2 cent rebate based on the total amount of gallons purchased by their members. A minimum of 5000 qualified* gallons per month is necessary to make the program work so please sign up as soon as possible so you and your Association can start earning discounts and rebates. It's a Win/Win for everyone !
Each month, fleet fuel discounts will be credited to the members accounts based on the total gallons purchased on each individual account and linked to the overall total gallons purchased by the Association members. In addition, Valero has agreed to waive the monthly account maintenance fees for one-year. Valero operates nearly 6000 stores across the United States and is regarded as a leader in competitive fuel pricing.
Attached is a brief description of the program, credit application and the driver information form to complete. The discount program is available on the Basic account only.
Fax the completed application and driver information form back to 210-370-4390 for processing.
* Gallons must be purchased at participating Valero discount sites

REGION 2 AND 10 FINALS REQUIREMENTS
1. The top thirty (30) contestants on the points list in each class, at the conclusion of the last Regions 2 & 10 sanctioned show, may select up to three (3) teams to compete in that class at the finals.
2. Teams must be submitted or declined within 10 days of notification
of qualification, but no later than 10 days after the last Regions 2 & 10 sanctioned show.
3. All team members must meet the following participation requirements in order to ride at the Region 2 and 10 finals:
Participate in five (5) Regions 2 & 10 sanctioned shows.
Or: Participate in four (4) Regions 2 & 10 sanctioned shows plus 2 affiliate shows.
Or: Participate in three (3) Regions 2 & 10 sanctioned shows plus 4 affiliate shows.
4. Total rider points per class will be used to award prizes five deep in each class.
5. Total rider points in all classes will be used to award one saddle to the high point Open, Amateur, and Novice riders.
Points
1. Points will be awarded for each go-round based on number of teams entered (see chart for break down of number of teams).
2. Points will be awarded in the second go based on the number of teams going back for second go.
3. The cumulative score is awarded points based on total number of teams entered in class.
4. Points will be awarded only at sanctioned shows in Region 2 & 10.
